Unexpected adventures

The Netherlands is celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Treaty of Utrecht this year with many festivities like firework shows and events all over the country. Last night in Utrecht, a friend of mine told me that there would be an unveiling of an art piece to start the celebrations and I found out later that it was being presented by Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem Alexander (to be king on April 30th), and Princess Maxima. After a short parade of some weird robots, trumpets, and a fairy woman on stilts, the royal family appeared on a balcony to present a light show on Dom Tower. I saw the queen!
